In 2018 the vehicle manufacturer MAN wanted to present their new concept truck at the IAA. The big challenge was to provide the truck to the whole audience and not only a limited number of visitors. Therefore, they consulted in advance to develop an extraordinary Augmented Reality experience. This should not only push processes of marketing, but give everyone the chance to explore the CitE, even after IAA.


The end product turned out as an innovative Augmented Reality app with interactive features. Those allow to explore the interior and exterior of the truck by only a few clicks on the smartphone. The app enables to place the 3D model of the CitE where- and whenever requested into the real environment. In addition, it inspires with playful functions as the x-ray mode, the bird view and many more. The integration of app analytics supports the evaluation of marketing data and maintains MAN’s significant role in the digital market.
